Probably shouldn’t have spent the money, but I’m glad I managed to snag one of these babies! I owe all my thanks to a pal who let me know that one had shown up on Amazon again after they’d been sold out for several days.
The paint job is absolutely lovely, and the sculpt is great. Joints are a little stiffer than a lot of my other toys, but they’ll loosen up. Ringo in the second image stands at exactly 7 inches, so Pyro is a hair short. Sorry no pictures holding the flamethrower- I’ll have to heat up Pyro’s hands to squeeze it into them later.
Can’t wait for my Demoman! I’m really hoping they continue this line- if the quality of Pyro is a sign of how the rest will be, then I’m totally getting a few more as the other classes are released.
It’s my friend’s birthday, so I drew her Pyro OC with the Sniper I play. She stitched ears to his hood because he reminded her of a dog- he generally hates them, but he can be sugary sweet for one picture.
One day, I’ll relearn how to shade things. And I just now realized I colored a part of his shirt red that should have been the brown of the vest. Whoops!
Pyro’s the bro you go to if you need cheering up.
Cuties! :D

God dammit I’m meant to be working!
Hawt.
This is for you, Vik.
I don’t think anyone has put these into a set yet, so I’m going to.

‘A Pyro A Day’ - Day 21
Head Canon: Spaghetti Night is best dinner night for Pyro.
‘A Pyro A Day’ - Day 19
Head Canon: Pyro is quite envious of Demo’s lovely tartans.
I’m p damn jealous too
but why you say tartan instead of kilt that’s like saying cotton instead of shirtMy understanding of ‘tartan’ is it’s a specific pattern i.e. unrelated to a particular item of clothing or fabric (although it was traditionally wool). In this image, the kilt has a tartan pattern on it, but tartan doesn’t mean the kilt itself. Demo just happened to be wearing a kilt instead of another item of clothing that was tartan.
In our ceremonies at church, the traditional cloth we wear is called a tartan. Nowadays, ‘tartan’ can mean both the plaid pattern itself, as well as the cloth that bears the pattern, which is usually like a sash or blanket. I’m pretty sure calling it a tartan is technically correct.
Either way, Pyro looks like he’s ogling Demoman’s rear and Demo is being completely indignant about it, and that is very amusing. :D
And the rest of the interesting NECA Valve toy fair things! Didn’t find a picture of the Demoman TF2 figure but it’s bound to be out there somewhere. Click HERE for photo credit and more shots from the same set! Keep an eye on NECA’s twitter and website for release info and whatnot!

Oh god, Meet the Pyro announcement.
The Last “Meet the Team” Short
That title probably deserved an exclamation mark, but we over-estimated how many we had and now we’re out. This year, the lovable, indecipherable Pyro finally gets some time in the spotlight. There will be blood. And not like in the movie There Will Be Blood, either, where there was only blood at the end, and not even very much of it. Ours has lots of blood pretty much all the way through. If the butterscotch mint-sucking old mummies who pick the Academy Awards thought Look Out, There Might Be a Little Blood was great, wait’ll they see how many gallons we managed to cram into our movie. They’re going to have to melt down Fort Knox to make all the Oscars we’re going to win.

Getting this party started for real, I’ll start with my latest plush: a Pyro from TF2! I have a wonderful friend I roleplay with who has a Pyro OC, and I thought she’d like some company this holiday season, so I set to work.
Sorry the lighting isn’t too good in these photos! Pyro is more of a fire-engine red, so the colors are a bit off. I couldn’t find my usual model for scale, so Ringo had to stand in.
Pyro is made primarily of fleece, with wool, felt, and embroidery details.
